This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of specialists you will develop, integrate, and qualify processes for Blue Origin’s manufacturing. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

In this role, you will directly impact the successful performance of every element of Blue Origin’s manufacturing and test operations scope.  We are seeking a curious, driven, innovative team player passionate about our mission.

Responsibilities:

• Production System Execution – Drive stable, repeatable success through performance trend awareness, executive feedback, critical action coordination, and more
• Strategic Workshop Facilitation – Help plan, execute, and follow up on major Kaizen Improvement Workshops, critical training sessions, and similar activities
• Lead manufacturing-related projects for cross-functional teams – set the right conditions for success for people, processes, and assets.
• Process Improvement- Lean Manufacturing, Engineering Economic Analysis, Process Mapping, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Methods, Six Sigma, Time Studies, Waste Reduction, and Work Sampling
• Operations improvement- Ergonomic and Human Factors, Operations Plans, Recovery planning, Capacity planning, Capital planning
• Production Support- Ability to execute application of core concepts. Production Support- Production Scheduling, Theory of Constraints, Budgets and Forecasts, Crew Empowerment, Defect Analysis and Benchmarking Analysis, Core Competency Definition, Resource Allocation, Scenario Planning, Discrete Event Simulation, Make/Buy Evaluations, and Cost/Price Evaluations.
• Integrated Systems- Value Stream Analysis, Manufacturing Process Design, Systems Thinking
• Travel opportunities available to support other sites. Travel may be required up to 20% of the time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Business Disciplines
• Excellent Interpersonal Communication Skills
• Critical thinking – ability to receive a task and thoroughly execute without detailed instructions
• Strong analytic skill set and a high degree of proficiency in data mining
• Outstanding with Excel and manual data analysis
• Self-Starter
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• Master’s of Science or Business – Industrial Engineering, other Engineering, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or similar
• Demonstrated experience working directly with manufacturing in a production environment
• Demonstrated factory flow and process modeling and simulations experience
• Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and value stream mapping events.
• Certifications showing demonstrated knowledge (PMP, Lean Black Belt, similar)
• Experience transitioning development to production
• Strong teaming skills
• Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes

Base Pay Range for:

WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45
