The Corporate Development teamis responsible forgenerating, managing, and executing mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, partnership, and capital formation activities. As part of a small team responsible for originating, executing, and supporting acquisitions and other transactions, you'llwork to advance Blue Origin’s mission via strategic deals. You will work closely with our business units, including New Glenn and TeraWave, as well as ourOperationsorganization, to identifyinorganic growth opportunities.

You will support theSeniorDirector of Corporate Development and senior leadership team by conducting industry research, investment analysis, due diligence, acquisition termsheetsand contract negotiations, and both internal and external relationship building. In this role, you will be an entrepreneurial thinker who can make convincing, information-based argumentsand follow through with action to a business outcome.

Responsibilities:  

• Help identify opportunities which support Blue Origin’s strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and organic pipeline generation 

• Support investor and capital-formation activities by preparing materials and analyses that inform Blue Origin's relationships with private capital partners 

• Act as a subject matter expert on financial analysis, deal structuring, synergy forecasting, valuation, and due diligence of potential acquisitions 

• Support cross-functional due diligence teams, including legal, finance & accounting, tax, human resources, operations, IT, EHS, sales, and strategy 

• Support deal flow process from term sheet signature to integration 

• Help evaluate opportunities and risks in potential transactions 

• Perform research, reporting and analysis on investment activity in the industry 

• Present investment thesis memos and recommendations for all stages of the deal process (sourcing to integration planning) 

• Build and maintain tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance measurements 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree from a leading university in business, finance, economics, or related analytical field 

• 3+ years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or venture capital; corporate development; or private capital fundraising / investor relations, including financial modeling, valuation, and negotiation experience

• Experience preparing investor-facing materials and translating financial and strategic analysis into clear narratives for external capital partners and senior stakeholders

• Experience crafting and analyzing M&A processes for a wide variety of transactions

• Advanced financial modeling in Excel and the ability to build executive-quality presentations and investment materials

• Proficiencywith AI tools including leading LLM’s and harnesses; ability to use AI to make new tools

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired: 

• Mix of sell-side and buy-side M&A experience 

• Experience in the space industry or another capital intensive, manufacturing or R&D oriented industry 

• Experience with early-stage startups 

• Interest or exposure to investor relations, capital formation, or fundraising - particularly from private capital sources
