Description Job overview and responsibilities As a Maintenance Programs Engineer, this role provides engineering and problem-solving support to deliver routine maintenance programs that promote safety, compliance and efficiency. In partnership with fleet engineering teams, the Engineer identifies and creates plans to mitigate technical failures. A focus on reliability, aircraft availability and cost control drives measurable value to the airline's operation. The Engineer must be able to understand, analyze and seek solutions to the design, operation, maintenance, performance or repair of aircraft and their components. They will also evaluate the benefits of the cost impact of a fleet decision to ensure a balance of cost and asset utilization.
- Develops maintenance programs solutions and implementation plans, project justification, cost/benefit analysis, and overall management of project implementation
- Organizes and manages the priorities for assigned responsibilities and accomplishes the work process to meet all deliverable for aircraft projects
- Coordinates work with other operational groups to ensure airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability, and operational efficiency
Qualifications What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications): - Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Engineering, or technical field
- Engineer I: Entry (0) - 3 years' experience
- Engineer II: 3-5 years' experience
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues, detailed level of project management for regulatory compliance modifications
- Excellent verbal and technical writing skills needed
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
