Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Serve as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for all liquid cooling across the product portfolio, providing technical guidance on cooling strategies and design standards. Evaluate emerging cooling technologies, components, and supplier capabilities to support future product development and drive innovation. Mentor and develop junior engineers while working closely with systems, electrical, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and successful product execution.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Optimize cooling and fluid handling processes to improve efficiency, reliability, safety, and sustainability.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in production and cooling workflows.
  • Design, configure, and monitor process performance during manufacturing and operations.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, schematics, and layouts (pumps, compressors, chillers, CDUs, sensors, valves).
  • Drive improvements to reduce energy consumption, fluid waste, and operating costs.
  • Monitor key parameters (pressure, temperature, flow rate, glycol concentration) via BMS.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, predict failures, and support preventative maintenance.
  • Develop and manage maintenance plans for process assets.
  • Collaborate with EHS on SOPs for safety, leak mitigation, waste disposal, and fluid handling.
  • Conduct CTQ analyses and risk assessments.
  • Own lifecycle management of process equipment.
  • Support commissioning and validation of new systems and upgrades.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of process engineering experience, focused on chilled water/glycol systems.
  • Experience in data centers or similar high-reliability industries (pharma, food & beverage, distillery).
  • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer.
  • Proficiency in process control systems, instrumentation, and sensors.
  • Experience with DMAIC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to drive cross-functional change using data.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with immersion or direct-to-chip liquid cooling.
  • Knowledge of OCP and ASHRAE standards.
  • Familiarity with BMS and SCADA platforms.
  • Six Sigma or Lean certification.
  • Experience with CFD or thermal simulation tools.
