Full Job Description
Volt is immediately hiring an Direct HireEngineer (Land Development) in Santa Clarita, CA.

As an Engineer, you will:
  • Support the design and development of land development projects, including grading, drainage, utility, and roadway improvements.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, plans, and technical documents for project deliverables.
  • Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and coordination efforts.
  • Apply engineering principles and industry standards to develop practical design solutions.
  • Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of engineering work.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, drafters, and clients throughout project execution.
  • Assist in evaluating design alternatives and resolving technical challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support to entry-level engineers and drafting staff as needed.

This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting land development projects.
  • Working knowledge of site grading, stormwater, utility, and roadway design principles.
  • Proficiency with CADD, engineering software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong understanding of engineering calculations, design practices, and technical documentation.
  • Experience performing QA/QC reviews on engineering deliverables.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting project schedules and budgets.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Progress toward obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, or mixed-use land development projects.
  • Familiarity with local development standards and permitting processes.

Pay Rate: $75,000 - $110,000 annually.

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
