Full Job Description
Mangan Renewable's Field Engineers are responsible for the routine inspection, management, troubleshooting, repair and upgrade of client solar facilities. The number one priority for individuals working in this capacity is constant adherence to company safe work practices. The Field Engineer will be expected to operate autonomously and manage their schedule to best service client requests. Candidates should be experienced working on systems 1000 VAC and below. In addition, document requests/control, material requisitioning, inventory control, scheduling, work planning and troubleshooting A/C and D/C systems will be required.

It is also the Field Engineer's duty to assure that the work being performed by third party Electrical contractors is to code and of the highest quality. The field engineer will on occasion have to prepare change orders or cost estimates for additional site work or repairs. The Field Engineer will report to the Mangan Renewables Director and interface with the Construction Manager when building new systems, or decommissioning existing systems. The Field engineer should assume that their work hours would normally be dependent on where service calls are located and the time necessary to travel to and from the site. This is a minimum of 40 Hrs. per week, a company owned service vehicle will be provided.

REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineered drawings and engineering standards.
  • Interface/communicate with client representatives while on site.
  • Exhibit a high level of proficiency in Electrical troubleshooting of both A/C and D/C systems.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Software - MS Access, Excel, Word
  • Willingness to travel and respond to short notice requests for maintenance support.
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing. Prepare site assessment reports.
  • Ability to climb and work at heights.

VALUE ADDED SKILL OR TRAINING
