ResponsibilitiesThe DC 3rd Class Engineer will have comprehensive knowledge of MEP systems and mission critical operating characteristics to support full building operations. On each shift, Engineers perform tours and daily watches to monitor safe system operations and maintain systems at peak performance.

- Perform operation and daily function of installed equipment, required temperatures and humidity levels, and BAS displays and alarms
- Engineers will apply their knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipe-fitting, and plant operations to install, service, and maintain MEP systems, including preventive maintenance maintenance and service call repair
All Shifts 6am - 2pm, 8am -4pm, 9am - 5pm, 10am - 6pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am. (Monday - Friday) Salary: $52.66 per hour
QualificationsThe DC 3rd Class Engineer shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Must possess a valid stationary engineer's license equivalent to Class 3 Steam Engineer (DC)
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in steam plant operations
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in steam plant operations, chemical analysis, and troubleshooting
- Experience with computerized monitoring systems and automated control technologies.
- Strong knowledge of DC regulatory requirements for steam systems.
- Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs for industrial equipment.
- Technical expertise in steam generation, condensate recovery, and cooling system operations.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting plant issues.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and
- BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision.
