Job DescriptionBAE Systems' Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for experienced Radar Engineers to support the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line specializing in RF Seeker development programs.
BAE Systems is seeking a Huntsville, AL-based Radar Engineer to join a growing team developing cutting-edge capabilities in multimodal/multifunction, affordable mass seekers. You will serve as a technical contributor on our integrated product team in the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line. As a senior-level contributor, you will be responsible for deeply impactful contributions to next generation seeker capabilities. Members on this development team drive collaborative value creation that is greater than the sum of their individual contributions. You will have the opportunity to participate in development programs across PGSS Strategic Initiatives, IRAD/CRAD R&D prototypes, and EMD programs. In our development programs, you will collaborate with other engineering staff & team leaders on a multi-disciplined team including Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineers.
The ideal candidate will possess direct hands-on Radar experience mix, covering two or more of the following: Radar analysis, Hardware/software design, prototyping, integration, test, and/or verification. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a deep radar theoretical knowledge, as well as balanced understanding of both Radar hardware and software architectures. Finally, the candidate must also be experienced in leading technical teams on radar projects/programs.

Because this role will periodically support a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely, pending Supervisor review and approval.

Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience
- Must hold an active Secret clearance
- Direct experience in two or more Radar engineering activities to include analysis, hardware/software design, prototyping, integration, test, and/or verification
- Advanced radar theoretical knowledge, with balanced understanding of practical Radar hardware and software architectures
- Experience organizing and executing highly technical radar engineering projects
Preferred Skills and Education- Advanced (MS or higher) degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or equivalent
