Job DescriptionPlease note this position supports our first shift 9/80 schedule Monday to Friday and every other Friday off.Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Responsibilities may include -
- Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment for Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) processes.
- Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.
- Drive process development, standardization and continuous improvement across all test operations.
- Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.
- Generate and implement improvements in test design, processes, and methodologies to reduce cost and increase throughput.
- Generate and review the technical content of test procedures, drawings, engineering specifications, reports, Engineering Change Orders, and other documentation associated with the design and build of digital, optical, and RF electronic warfare products.
- Support test equipment validation and movement as required to support factory needs.
- Provide training / support to manufacturing personnel.
- Provide test failure debug, resolution, and appropriate direction to operations personnel to perform necessary rework
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Discipline
- 4+ years of equivalent experience
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Demonstrated ability in isolating electrical failures to root cause.
- Experience working with electrical and electro-mechanical and basic electronics.
- Familiarity with test equipment and calibration process
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills interfacing with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers
- Ability to work independently and be effective in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills and Education- RF, digital, and analog test experience
- Experience working within a DoD environment
