Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a MBSE Systems Engineer to develop system modeling and simulation (M&S) solutions throughout the organization, and to perform engineering analysis and provide results to inform strategic decisions for operations. The Engineer will focus on the design, development, and integration of M&S products for the program.The Engineer will work on a wide variety of challenges to develop solutions for all aspect of the current business.
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining system modeling practices and methodologies, designing and developing system models, preparing/validating the modeling and analysis as well as effectively communicating the findings to provide actionable recommendations. This position will also be responsible for supporting the development of overarching M&S and MBSE strategy and ensuring the logical and systemic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.
Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field and 6+ years related experience
- Direct experience in Systems Engineering and SysML/UML modeling capabilities utilizing modeling tools such as Cameo
- Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, navigate at the expert level with System Modeling tools, and is familiar with developing UseCases, Activity Models, and other SYSML models.
- Experience applying modeling to support a system's or SoS' requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the acquisition life cycle phases
- Experience Implementing a model-based culture, leveraging capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure of the organization
- Proven experience in delivering large-scale DoD systems engineering projects
- In-depth understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, MBSE, and best practices

Preferred Skills and Education- Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or another related engineering or computer science discipline
- Proficiency in systems monitoring, diagnostics, and performance analysis tools
- Experience utilizing model data support to enable the creation of a digital thread across other engineering disciplines (e.g.,cyber andsafety).
