What You'll Do:
  • Work in a fast-paced team environment with other SEIT engineers to integrate and test RF payload hardware.
  • Lead the planning, development, and execution of RF test campaigns for space flight instruments, including performance characterization, functional verification, and environmental qualification.
  • Develop and optimize automated RF test setups, procedures, and data analysis methods to ensure accurate, repeatable, and flight compliant results.
  • Collaborate with systems, RF design, and firmware teams to define test requirements, troubleshoot anomalies, and validate instrument performance against mission specifications.
  • Support integration of RF payload hardware into spacecraft AI&T flows, including test readiness reviews, configuration control, and hardware safety assurance.
  • Maintain fabrication and test engineering logs, records and author test summary reports.
  • Interface with internal company contacts and outside suppliers and customers for technical exchanges of information. Support program, design, and peer reviews.
  • Provide technical oversight and support to teams of engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
  • May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
  • May access other facilities in various weather conditions.


Required Skills and Education

  • BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Candidate should have good interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.
  • Candidate should be proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Applicants selected may be subjected to a government security investigation and may be expected to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience with cryogenic assemblies and the testing and qualification of cryo instruments for space applications is highly desirable.
  • Experience with RF instruments and the testing and qualification of RF instruments for space applications is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the testing of spaceflight instruments or related aerospace, electrical, mechanical, optical, or thermal hardware, components and systems is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge and test experience using software test automation applications and tools such as COSMOS and LabVIEW is desirable.
  • Experience in the design, development and validation of test sets in cleanroom, laboratory, and/or production environments is highly desirable.
  • BS in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related technical field is required plus 2 or more years related experience is preferred.
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance is desired.
