This Physician Assistant role offers the opportunity to practice Emergency Medicine in a high-acuity academic setting alongside experienced attendings and residents, caring for patients across all triage levels. Physician Assistants Role Scope:Under established guidelines and in collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of acute illnesses, injuries, and trauma conditions. Providers perform procedures within scope, formulate treatment plans, coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, and determine appropriate consultation or escalation of care when needed. APPs practice in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical environment with opportunities for continued procedural and clinical skill development.
Qualifications:Requirements:Licensure: Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Training: Physician Assistant
Experience: 1+ years' experience in an emergency medicine or related setting
- Experience with suturing, splinting/casting, minor procedures, and acute care assessment preferred.
