Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as we are actively recruiting for an Embedded Electronics Designer. The successful candidate will be responsible for development of products containing embedded electronics. This position will report to The Embedded Design Manager.

What we're looking for
  • Design, prototype, test and launch new products containing embedded electronics from development through launch
  • Schematic layout, PCB layout, prototyping and testing
  • Embedded firmware development and debug (primarily C++)
  • Develop production test procedures and / or equipment required to support internal manufacturing of products containing embedded electronics
  • Provide post-launch support for manufacturing / quality / purchasing to resolve any ongoing manufacturing, assembly, quality or supply chain issues
  • Collaborate to develop a long-term strategy for embedded products including suggestions for future product enhancements and planning for the next generation of replacement products


What you need to succeed
  • Electrical Engineering, Computer Science degree or diploma required
  • Extensive experience with development of electronics and embedded systems
  • Experience working with UART, SPI, I2C, Ethernet, WiFi, BLE
  • PCB design experience including multilayer PCB boards (KiCAD , or other ECAD experience)
  • PCB assembly and electronics prototyping skills (soldering, hot air reflow)
  • Advanced C++ and C programming skills, with emphasis on embedded devices
  • Experience with RTOS, Linux, Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, REST API, highly desirable
  • Hardware troubleshooting experience including test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, ESD generators, etc)
  • Graphic design, editing, layout in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, highly desirable
  • Mechanical design in Autodesk Inventor and Fusion 360, highly desirable

Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000 annually
