Full Job Description
Help elementary students discover their strengths and reach their goals! Cross Country Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher in Lancaster, SC, to deliver individualized instruction, support student progress, and help elementary learners build the skills they need to succeed.

Position Overview
  • Provide specialized instruction and support to elementary students in a special education setting, adapting lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and individualized instructional plans in collaboration with students, families, and multidisciplinary school teams.
  • Use appropriate instructional strategies, accommodations, and behavioral supports to promote academic, social-emotional, communication, and functional development.
  • Maintain accurate student records, monitor progress toward IEP goals, and participate in team meetings and required special education processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid South Carolina Special Education Certification, including Multi-Categorical or related certifications (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe)
  • Experience supporting elementary students with moderate to significant learning and developmental needs, with the ability to collaborate effectively with instructional assistants and multidisciplinary teams preferred
