Job Title: Electronics Test Engineering Specialist

Working Pattern: Onsite

Working location: West Lafayette, IN

The Electronics Test Engineering Specialist is responsible for growing and sustaining Electronics test capability at the Rolls-Royce West Lafayette facility in West Lafayette, IN. The Electronics Test Engineering Specialist will plan, design, construct, and supervise Vibration, Electrical and Thermal test setups, as well as develop and execute capability growth strategies for testing and play a key role in test engineering talent development at the Rolls-Royce West Lafayette facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Create and execute test engineering strategies related to capability growth, facility improvements, instrumentation calibration, continuous improvement, business continuity, and capital investment.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and maintain complex aerospace mechanical and electrical test rig systems, instrumentation, and advanced data acquisition and experimental test control systems.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor test engineers and technicians to raise overall test capability and bench strength; supervise and mentor university student employees (e.g. coops, interns, student employees).
  • Support business growth by building and fostering key working relationships with global and local test organizations, as well as Rolls-Royce engine project teams and university partners.
  • Travel up to 10% domestically and globally

Basic Requirements:
