Responsibilities Noblis MSD is looking to hire a Electronics Test Lab Manager to support the US Navy by: • Providing installation and testing support, development of simulation equipment, and system setups/tests in a lab environment. • Perform software and hardware testing while developing and following test procedures. • Uses test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools (i.e. drills, screwdrivers) in a electronics lab environment. • Develop and improve internal procedures, templates, standards, and other documents that are clear, have the correct level of detail and are easy to follow. • Provide operational navigation software development and testing. • Developing and performing software tests, typically focusing on: Integration Testing, System Testing, Performance Testing, and Usability Testing. • Communicating directly with software developers to understand the software requirements for the purposes of developing tests. • Thoroughly documenting bugs discovered during testing and making recommendations to developers on product improvements where necessary. • Identifying opportunities for automation to improve operational efficiency and test coverage. • In office work required. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree or High School diploma • 8+ years prior Navy electronics technician experience. • Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship • Proficiency with panel assembly, managing material requisitions and logistics. • Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams • Proficiency in the use of test and diagnostic tools associated with low voltage electronics. • Ability to perform testing in accordance with documented test procedures • Ability to perform simulation testing of low voltage signals such as 4-20 ma, 0-10 VDC • Familiar with low voltage test equipment such as a FLUKE meter and signal simulator Physical Requirements • Employees working in naval industrial environments, whether shipboard or pier-side, must meet certain physical requirements to safely perform essential job functions. Individuals must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods, often on uneven, wet, or slippery surfaces, and must be able to climb vertical ladders, stairs, and steep inclines while carrying tools or equipment. The position requires the ability to work in confined spaces with limited ventilation and restricted movement, including crawling through narrow passageways and working in overhead or below-deck areas. • Workers must possess sufficient manual dexterity and grip strength to operate hand and power tools, manipulate controls, and handle materials weighing up to fifty pounds with help. The role demands the physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead repeatedly throughout the workday. Adequate vision is necessary to read technical manuals, identify color-coded systems, and detect safety hazards, while hearing capability must be sufficient to perceive warning signals, alarms, and verbal communications in noisy environments, with or without hearing protection. • Employees must be able to work in varying environmental conditions including extreme temperatures, high humidity, direct sunlight, and exposure to weather elements. The position requires the stamina to work extended shifts and the balance and coordination necessary to maintain stability on moving vessels. Workers must be capable of responding quickly to emergency situations, including evacuating confined spaces and moving to emergency stations. Desired Qualifications • Prior service as a Navy Electronics Technician - Navigation (ETV) or equivalent hands-on experience with shipboard electrical control and or interior communication (IC) systems is highly desired • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Vision and Microsoft Suite of products • Knowledge and exzperience with AutoCAD Posted Salary Range USD $71,800.00 - USD $112,150.00 /Yr.
