Electrician Technician

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment including main switchgear, breakers, UPS units, generators, transfer switches, motors, and motor control centers.
  • Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment, controls, and devices to ensure proper operation and compliance with standards.
  • Install new circuits, wiring, conduit, and related electrical components.
  • Review and interpret electrical as-built single-line drawings.
  • Conduct equipment cleaning, care, and preventive maintenance in alignment with Technical Services and USH Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Uphold and demonstrate proper electrical safety practices in accordance with NFPA-70E.
  • Test, service, and maintain show control systems, building management lighting controllers, and mechanical/electrical/IP-based networks.
  • Operate and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interface devices.
  • Stay current with industry advancements and apply updated practices to daily work.
  • Perform specialized tasks including lug torquing, buss bar inspections, cable gland checks, and contactor rebuilding following Inautec OMM guidelines.
  • Conduct transformer fin cleaning, UPS and ATS testing, maintenance, battery replacement, and multipin transducer diagnostics.
  • Provide exceptional guest service by responding to inquiries and offering information in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to support operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 18 years.
  • Journeyman-level status with 3-5 years of electrical trade experience.
  • Strong preventive maintenance background, including IR scanning and switchgear cleaning.
  • Solid understanding of NFPA-70E, circuit breakers, LSIG trip units, transfer switches, generators, UPS systems, and lighting control systems.
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Code, PPE usage, advanced diagnostics, microelectronics, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions, apply mathematical concepts, and utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and inventory systems (e.g., Maximo).
  • Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Perform overhead electrical work, including equipment replacement.
  • Traverse rough terrain and work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Work in environments with inclement weather, hazardous conditions, extreme temperatures, and high noise levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent technical education.
  • Industrial or commercial construction experience.
  • Certified General Electrician Card (State of California).
  • Experience preparing training materials and routine reports.
  • Knowledge of theme park operations.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols and lighting design interpretation.
  • Interest in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.


Pay Rate starting at $45.71 per hour.
