What You'll Do- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair haul trucks, shovels, and other mining equipment.
- Support component repair/rebuild, equipment assembly, and maintenance activities.
- Install new parts and electrical systems following industry standards and site-specific practices.
- Perform component failure analysis to identify root causes and improve performance.
- Collaborate with customers and other tradespeople to resolve technical issues efficiently.
What You Bring- Journeyperson Electrician certification with red seal.
- Minimum of 3 years of mining experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and OEM drawings and electrical code specifications.
- Proven ability to follow and maintain workplace health and safety practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Komatsu AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks and other mining equipment is an asset.
Work Environment- Combination of shop work, local field service, and remote FIFO mining support
- Camp-based work with extended periods away from home
- Long shifts (12+ hours) in physically and mentally demanding conditions
- Travel schedules and job locations may change based on customer demand
- Work performed both independently and as part of a team
This role involves working closely with the same crew for extended periods including full shifts, travel days, meals, and time in camp. The ability to work well with others and maintain a professional attitude in close working and living conditions is critical.
