Starting Wage: $46.81 per hour and $47.66 per hour after probation

Immediate, Open Position

The electrician is responsible for carrying out installation, repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance and upgrading of electrical components, wiring, and equipment as required to minimize downtime and maintain or improve efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1.Current Industrial Electrician license 442a or 309a.

2.Equivalent to completion of community college or specialized trade courses up to 2 academic years.

3.Industrial experience considered an asset, especially the ability to function effectively in a team environment.

4.Own tools required.

DUTIES:

1. Repairs/replaces/maintains/installs electrical components, wiring and electrical equipment and/or plant fixtures (including programming and troubleshooting).

2. Locates/determines reasons for electrical failure.

3. Completes PMs as assigned by Supervisor

4. Participates in the training of apprentices as assigned by Supervisor.

5. Follow plant lockout procedure.

6. Ensures all guards including panel doors are in place.

7. Uses proper safety equipment on aerial work platforms or above 9 feet.

8. Assist other maintenance trades as required.

9. Uses Maintenance Reliability Manager Maintenance Program.

10. Comes to work each day, as scheduled.

11. Approaches each day and each challenge with a positive attitude.

12. Conducts themselves in a professional manner when receiving or giving feedback/information, whether it is positive or constructive.

13. Supports and models the Presstran operational procedures/policies, Employee Handbook and 9How We Work Together, Magna Employee9s Charter, Magna Corporate Constitution.

14. Follows and complies with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environmental programs (egg. ISO/IATF-16949, ISO14001).

15. Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA. Follows and ensures the Company9s procedures regarding safety rules and regulations are followed throughout their assigned area.

16. Takes pride in keeping their work area clean and tidy.
