Job Details:
Position Title: Electrical Technologist
Status: Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Faculty/Department: Faculty of Applied Sciences and Technology
Campus/Location: North Campus; Hybrid
Salary: Payband: J
Salary Range: $44.48 - $51.40
Starting Salary: $44.48; Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outlined in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.

About the Role:
Reporting to the Director, Academic Programs - Skilled Trades in Faculty of Applied of Science and Technology, the incumbent provides technical, administrative, and operational support for FAST labs, shops, and studios. The incumbent oversees students in labs, workshops and studios. About You:

Education
The successful candidate will possess a minimum 2-year technician diploma or equivalent (3 years preferred), along with a minimum of 3 years of practical working experience with industrial motors and controls. Additional qualifications may include: Industry certifications in related fields as well as First Aid and WHMIS knowledge.

Experience/Skills
  • Must have advanced knowledge and training with vendor-specific tools, procedures and operations directly related to their specialization.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in related commercial/industrial environments. Experience leading projects from initiation to completion.
