Position Overview: As our Electrical Technician - Intermediate you will independently perform electrical maintenance and field systems support in nuclear environments. This role includes responsibility for setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting temporary electrical, network, camera, and communications systems supporting outage execution.

Your Day to Day as our Electrical Technician - Intermediate- Perform electrical maintenance, installation, inspection, and equipment support activities.
- Execute work in accordance with approved procedures, drawings, specifications, and work packages.
- Read and interpret basic electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Support setup and teardown of BWXT temporary electrical, network, and communications systems at nuclear sites.
- Assist with installation and basic configuration of cameras, video systems, and associated cabling.
- Use electrical test equipment to support troubleshooting and verification activities.
- Maintain control of electrical tools, test equipment, cameras, and communications equipment.
- Use approved software systems to support work execution, material tracking, and documentation.
- Follow plant rules, radiation protection requirements, electrical safety standards, and nuclear quality requirements.
- Support outage schedules, emergent field work, and extended work hours as required.
- Independently execute standard electrical work scopes and field system setups.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot temporary network and communications systems.
- Set up, maintain, and support camera systems used for inspection, tooling operation, or remote monitoring.
- Read, interpret, and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
- Troubleshoot electrical, network, camera, and communications issues within defined scope.
- Perform electrical testing, inspections, and verifications.
- Identify required parts, spares, and materials to support work execution.
- Track tools, test equipment, cameras, and electronics using ToolHound.
- Enter and retrieve work-related information using SAP and Microsoft applications.
- Provide technical guidance to junior electrical technicians.
- Acts as task or system lead when assigned.
- Coordinates electrical, camera, and communications activities with field supervision and other disciplines.
Security Clearance:This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
Required Qualifications: - Electrical Technician / Technologist diploma, electrical trade background, or related technical education.
- 3-7 years of electrical or industrial field experience.
Preferred Qualifications:- Nuclear outage or power generation experience.
- Experience supporting temporary site networks, camera systems, or communications infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of ToolHound, SAP, and Microsoft Office applications.

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $80,000 and $118,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits.
