Responsibilities

  • Travel to PCA plants for installation and rebuild support as needed.
  • Construct panels by following electrical schematics in-house.
  • Rebuild corrugated printing presses focusing on various electrical systems.
  • Handle mechanical tasks when electrical work isn't available.
  • Travel approximately 50% of the time, including possible weekend work for project completion.
  • Work day shifts primarily, adjusting to shifts for on-site support.
  • Collaborate on major maintenance and installation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Full Job Description
Responsibilities

This position is based at the Honea Path Maintenance and Reliability Center but will require periodic travel to support other PCA plants to provide support installations or rebuilds.

Must be willing/able to fly, out of state travel is required.

In shop work will consist of panel building by following schematics.

Rebuilding of corrugated printing presses with a focus on single and three phase systems.

Light mechanical projects when no electrical is available.

Basic Qualifications

A Technical Degree in the Electrical Trade field is a plus but not required.

Must have at least one year of experience.

Must be able to perform basic Mechanical duties.

Must be able to read electrical schematics.

Must be able to mark and disconnect wiring, run wire per electrical code, trace circuits, read electrical drawings, and know how to use all electrical meters.

Must be able to install AC and DC drives with some supervision.

Basic PLC troubleshooting is required.

Most work is day shift except when traveling. Approximately 50% of the time will be work in house in Honea Path and 50% travel by plane throughout the country. You will be required to travel during some weekends are required to complete projects as scheduled.

When supporting plants, technicians may be required to work off shifts as part of an install or major maintenance work.

Be Authorized to work in the US.

Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary for position: $39.17 per hour.
  • Bonus: Annual - Based upon achievement of plant performance metrics.
  • Paid Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
