Electrical Systems Program Manager

Location: Marietta, OH
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: Starting at $120,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced project leader to oversee custom-engineered electrical equipment projects from initial customer requirements through final delivery. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers and internal teams, ensuring projects remain on schedule, meet technical requirements, and are successfully executed through manufacturing and shipment.

The ideal candidate has experience managing complex manufactured products, coordinating multiple departments, and maintaining strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct projects from initial requirements review through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipment, and final completion.
  • Act as the primary customer contact for project-related communication, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate activities across sales, application engineering, design engineering, supply chain, production, quality, and logistics teams.
  • Develop project schedules and monitor progress against key milestones.
  • Establish achievable delivery commitments based on production schedules and material availability.
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and maintain action-item tracking throughout execution.
  • Manage customer-driven changes, engineering revisions, and schedule adjustments.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), customer witness testing, documentation packages, and shipment readiness activities.
  • Monitor project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize schedule or cost impacts.
  • Maintain accurate project records, status reports, delivery metrics, and schedule updates.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project execution and operational efficiency


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within manufacturing, electrical equipment, industrial products, or electromechanical environments.
  • Experience overseeing engineered-to-order, configure-to-order, or custom manufacturing projects.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, order management, and long-lead procurement planning.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, single-line electrical diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Experience working closely with engineering, supply chain, production, and quality departments.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting power distribution products including switchgear, Power Distribution Centers (PDCs), Remote Power Panels (RPPs), Static Transfer Switches (STS), or Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems.
  • PMP certification or active pursuit of certification.
  • Familiarity with UL, NEC, ANSI, or similar electrical industry standards.
  • Experience coordinating Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer witness inspections.
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
