Compensation:
$65.00/hr
Location: Midland, TX - Highway 80
Schedule: 5/2, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM with on-call rotation
Target Start Date: ASAP - July 2026
Tentative End Date: One year from start date
Submittal Deadline: 7/1/2026

Scope / Overview
The Electrical Maintenance Technician III supports field electrical maintenance activities and electrical isolation procedures (LOTO) for lighting, HVAC, motors, and associated equipment. This role is responsible for planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize production availability while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
This is a local Midland position. No per diem is available.

Critical Gating Requirements
  • Current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license - REQUIRED
  • Current Texas license number must be included with submittal
  • Must be able to work locally in the Midland area
  • Must participate in an on-call rotation
  • Oil & gas industry experience strongly preferred


Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on field equipment
  • Execute electrical isolation and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
  • Support maintenance activities involving lighting systems, HVAC equipment, and motors
  • Plan and perform preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs to minimize production impact
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors during maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MOC) requirements for plant modifications
  • Participate in daily operations shift meetings
  • Promote and maintain high SSHE standards
  • Utilize Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to identify and report safe and unsafe conditions
  • Support responsible waste management practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency


Required Qualifications
  • Current Texas Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Previous experience in a closely related electrical maintenance role
  • Strong understanding of LOTO procedures and electrical safety practices
  • Experience supporting preventive and corrective maintenance programs
  • Ability to communicate field conditions and recommend corrective actions
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Experience
  • Oil and gas electrical maintenance experience
  • Experience supporting upstream production, midstream, compression, or processing facilities
  • Experience with motors, motor controls, lighting systems, and HVAC electrical systems
  • Familiarity with MOC processes and contractor/vendor coordination
  • Experience working within SSHE programs and permit-to-work systems
