Electrical Lead II

Join a leading electrical construction team as an Electrical Lead II and oversee critical power distribution and substation projects in the Permian Basin. This role demands technical expertise, leadership, and precision to ensure the successful execution of complex electrical systems. Based in Spring, TX, you will play a key role in managing field operations, ensuring adherence to safety and technical standards, and delivering high-quality results in a demanding environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in electrical construction, specifically in power distribution and substation systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, including single-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical codes (NEC, IEEE standards)
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate electrical installation teams, ensuring adherence to project specs and safety protocols
  • In-depth understanding of grounding, protection systems, relays, and switchgear operation
  • Experience with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting high-voltage electrical equipment
  • OSHA certification (preferably OSHA 30-hour or higher)
  • Ability to perform precise work in high-voltage environments with limited supervision

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and advanced control equipment
  • Experience with Permian Basin-specific electrical codes and environmental considerations
  • Certifications such as NICET Level II/III, or technical/trade school diplomas related to electrical engineering

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical power systems construction, with a focus on substation and high-voltage installation leadership

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to field sites with expenses reimbursed
  • Work schedule: 5/2 rotation, Monday to Sunday
  • Compensation: $70/hour
