Responsibilities

Full Job Description
Greenridge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical / IT Inspector to support the Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division across multiple projects within LAWA's Capital Improvement Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily inspections of electrical and IT systems on building and terminal construction projects.
  • Review construction documents, including plans, shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Verify contractor compliance with applicable electrical codes, including NEC/NFPA 70, 70E, 72, and LAWA standards.
  • Prepare detailed daily inspection reports documenting construction progress, deficiencies, issues, and safety concerns.
  • Inspect electrical installations such as underground utilities, duct banks, switchgear, electrical panels, conduit, grounding systems, lighting, and fire/life-safety systems.
  • Inspect IT and low-voltage infrastructure, including voice/data, security systems, access controls, cameras, public-address systems, communication cabling, and equipment rooms.
  • Coordinate special inspections and testing activities with contractors, engineers, and third-party agencies.
  • Track field changes, time-and-material work, and job quantities and assist with validation of contractor progress payment requests.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience performing Electrical/IT inspections for building construction
  • Current ICC Commercial Electrical Inspector Certification - required to apply
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge/training in NFPA 70, 70E, and 72
  • Fall protection and harness training
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including day, swing, or night, based on project requirements
