Full Job Description
This position will be based in Front Royal, VA for the 5-6 months, with the possibility of extension.This position requires being on a client site with possible extended hours depending on project needs.

Objective

We are seeking an E/I Construction Manager to coordinate and provide direction for the construction efforts of the E/I subcontractor. This includes providing safety, scope, schedule, and planning direction to the E/I subcontractor for efficient and safe project execution. The E/I CM has direct responsibility for meeting all commitments as they relate to the established performance targets: safety goals, schedule objectives, and quality expectations,

Responsibilities

Project Management
  • Constructability reviews and input
  • Detailed understanding of customer goals and expectations for the project
  • Thorough understanding of the E/I contractor scope.
  • Thorough understanding of site rules, policies, practices
  • Building project relationships with the customer and contractors on the project team.
  • Safe and efficient management of jobsites
  • Achieving client satisfaction; creating "Raving Fans" and repeat business opportunities.

Administrative & Communication
  • Participate in estimating, cost analysis, and provide input to project reporting.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in planning and executing construction projects in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Able to perform or oversee Estimating and Scheduling efforts.
  • Experience with safety compliance and regulatory permitting related to Electrical and Instrumentation worksites.

Skills
  • Written communications skills.
  • Oral communications skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Experience working in Procore software is a plus.
  • Able to plan and organize work activities.
  • Able to read and interpret P & IDs, electrical and instrumentation drawings and specs.
  • Able to audit the electrical & instrumentation work and identify any deficiencies and document on a punch list.
  • Able to identify and avoid or mitigate potential problems.
  • Able to earn the respect and confidence of client representatives

Certifications
  • Relevant construction safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 10-hour) preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
