We are looking for an Electrical Engineer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. RELOCATION assistance is available. This HYBRID role offers flexibility between in-office and remote work.The EA Business Unit of Siemens is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Medium Voltage (4.16-38 kV) Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Project Engineering team.
You'll make an impact by: - Analyzing customer requirements to develop detailed electrical designs for medium-voltage switchgear.
- Creating complete electrical drawing packages (schematics, wiring, layouts, nameplates, one-lines, and communications) using CAD tools.
- Partnering with project engineers to deliver cost-effective, on-time solutions that meet customer expectations.
- Collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.
You'll win us over by having the following qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years experience designing or configuring electrical power distribution products.
Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems.
- Strong knowledge of medium-voltage protection and control systems.
- Ability to interpret customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base.
- Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for medium-voltage switchgear.
- Experience with Siemens switchgear and/or projects supporting data center, semiconductor, utility, or industrial customers.

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
