Full Job Description
The EA Business Unit in Wendell, North Carolina, which is its U.S. headquarters, focuses on photovoltaic inverters, medium-voltage power distribution equipment including packaging and services, and solutions, including automation.

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. RELOCATION assistance is available. This HYBRID role offers flexibility between in-office and remote work.

The EA Business Unit of Siemens is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our Medium Voltage (4.16-38 kV) Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS) Project Engineering team.

You'll make an impact by:
  • Analyzing customer requirements to develop detailed electrical designs for medium-voltage switchgear.
  • Creating complete electrical drawing packages (schematics, wiring, layouts, nameplates, one-lines, and communications) using CAD tools.
  • Partnering with project engineers to deliver cost-effective, on-time solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborating closely with manufacturing teams to resolve design and production challenges.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years experience designing or configuring electrical power distribution products.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems.
  • Strong knowledge of medium-voltage protection and control systems.
  • Ability to interpret customer specifications, one-line diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or Engineering Base.
  • Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL, and NEMA standards for medium-voltage switchgear.
  • Experience with Siemens switchgear and/or projects supporting data center, semiconductor, utility, or industrial customers.

The pay range for this position is $74,970 - $128,520 annually with a target incentive of 5% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
