Full Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support in industrial electrical controls engineering. This is to include system design, installation over site, programming, diagnostic, problem solving, program management and training on electrical/electronic control systems of facilities and equipment at Rehlko Engines. Assignments will require proficiency in the areas of electrical/mechanical controls design/programming, problem solving, project management, communication skills and teamwork. Travel is estimated at < 10% and will primarily be for training or machine run-off purposes.
This is role fully onsite based in our Hattiesburg, MS location.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support as required to ensure plant equipment is operating and optimized. This includes troubleshooting down equipment as required. Understanding electrical equipment controls obsolescence and creating a plan to mitigate. Participate as part of a team to drive improvements in overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) for the plant.
- Participate as part of a team to drive Smart Factory/Industry 4.0 implementation.
- Implement error proofing solutions that are integrated into the assembly line or manufacturing process control system. Examples would be the integration of DC tools, cameras, laser sensors, in-process/post process gage systems, and data collection
- Develop, debug, and validate software necessary for assembly production.
- Implement part verification & traceability utilizing 2D barcoding and SQL databases.
- Maintain proper documentation for equipment including electrical schematics, programs, procedures, and manuals.
- Team member for the planning and development of processes and equipment that incorporates the most advanced cost-effective technology for engine assembly, machining, measurement, and material handling. Emphasis must be on lean manufacturing, automation, and other state-of-the-art methodologies.
- Participate in new equipment design and build reviews to ensure that the electrical control systems meet Rehlko specifications.
- Review equipment control systems to ensure that the system meets all applicable safety standards and provide corrective active solutions for inadequacies found.
- Review technical feasibility of projects and provide input to maintain the Division's capital plan. Prepare White Papers, Authorized Corporate Transactions (ACT's)and capital expenditures to achieve the plan.
- Assist in vendor selection, equipment specification, quotation, and reviews for new equipment.
- Identify and implement product cost reductions.
- Ensure adherence to applicable product compliance requirements including the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulations and California Health and Safety Code.
- Work to develop individual goals/objectives to support the department goals using appraisal process, and personally demonstrate and drive the Rehlko Core Competencies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited engineering program, or engineering technology program
- Minimum of one year of experience as an electrical engineer in a production or assembly environment.
- Solid intern or co-op experience.
- Rockwell software experience is a plus but not required.
- PLC programming experience is a plus but not required.
- Exposure to robotics, including Fanuc robots is a plus, but not required.
- Effective communication skills, sense of urgency, and initiative.
- Strong computer skills, both hardware and software.
- Passion for continuous learning and development of new skills and knowledge.

The Salary range for this position is $76,050.00-$96,050.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
