Electrical Engineer - Power System StudiesLocation: Remote (U.S.)

Position SummaryThe Electrical Engineer will support power system studies, modeling, and technical analysis for data center, generation, and grid-interconnection projects. This role offers hands-on involvement in PSCAD modeling, power system simulations, and client-facing engineering deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and analyze power system models using PSCAD and related software.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, stability, protection coordination, and reliability studies.
- Support BTM generation, microgrid, and data center power system projects.
- Assist with SMR, battery storage, and hybrid generation system evaluations.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required - B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in power systems, utility, generation, EPC, consulting, or related environments.
- Experience with PSCAD, PSS®E, ETAP, or DIgSILENT.
- Understanding of power system fundamentals, including three-phase power, protection, and system dynamics.
- Strong technical writing and communication skills.
Preferred - EIT certification or progress toward PE licensure.
- Experience with Python or MATLAB.
- Familiarity with inverter-based resources, battery energy storage systems, and grid integration.
- Knowledge of IEEE, NERC, or ERCOT requirements.
- Protection coordination or reliability modeling experience.
