Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with 2 years of experience; focus on Power Systems preferred.
• Preferred experience in short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and power quality studies.
• Proficiency in power system modeling software such as SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, or EZPower is required.
• Knowledge of voltage systems ranging from low to high-voltage (up to 500 kV) is essential.
• Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are a must for customer and coworker interactions.
• Field experience with substations or switchgear is highly desired.
• Utility design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, analysis, and studies for domestic and international engineering projects.
• Conduct short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Perform power factor analysis and correction, including harmonic modeling and grounding analysis.
• Interact with customers to gather information and review engineering plans occasionally.
• Work in the field with the Field Services team on maintenance, startup, and shutdown projects as needed.
