Position OverviewElectrical Engineer to support multiple manufacturing facility projects involving industrial power systems, equipment installations, and electrical infrastructure improvements. This role will manage projects from concept through implementation, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are achieved.
The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial electrical systems, manufacturing project management, power distribution, and equipment installation within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedules, and budgets.
- Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and project specifications.
- Review technical drawings, provide engineering feedback, and negotiate design changes.
- Evaluate industrial electrical power systems and equipment requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical and safety codes.
- Partner with third-party safety compliance contractors and internal stakeholders.
- Evaluate:
- Power distribution systems
- Breaker sizing
- Amp draw calculations
- SCCR (Short Circuit Current Rating)
- Panel loading
- Specify and confirm electrical components for industrial equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, contractors, and equipment suppliers to install equipment and achieve project milestones.
- Supervise contractors in greenfield and brownfield manufacturing environments.
- Coordinate equipment installations with skilled trades and cross-functional teams.
- Develop countermeasures to prevent project delays and ensure timely completion.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Trade Certification, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial power distribution and system design experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of technical drawing review experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience developing bid specifications and negotiating with contractors.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- Toyota project management experience.
- Automotive paint process experience.
- AutoCAD proficiency.
- Ability to understand and calculate utility costs.
