Electrical Engineer III Pittsburgh, PA 15275 Salary - Top 10% of industry Skills: high-voltage equipment including transformers, switchgear, generators, and related power distribution components., Hands-on experience designing and supporting power distribution systems, including developing one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, system layouts, and performing load calculations. Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs As an Electrical Engineer III, you'll manage complex projects that directly impact operations. You'll apply your expertise to design solutions, troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation. Expect to lead small teams, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver clear presentations to stakeholders. Responsibilities/Expectations: Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.) Preferred: Project Management experience Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, transformers, generators, and switchgear Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems Education/Years of Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university, OR bachelor's degree in engineering technology from an ABET accredited college or university in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and (4) four years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry Preferred: Master's degree in electrical engineering from ABET accredited college or university Job Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills? Preferred (not a MUST): Professional Engineer (PE) licensure Knowledge of reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements Preferred: Experience with PLCs Preferred: Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects Preferred: Supports the designing and implantation of Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems
