Coordinate electrical equipment connections and load requirements with mechanical engineers and controls engineers

Review electrical contractor drawings and submittals for coordination with mechanical equipment requirements

Perform electrical load calculations and equipment sizing for mechanical system power needs

Support site visits and field coordination to verify electrical connections match mechanical equipment requirements

Review and respond to RFIs related to electrical-mechanical coordination during construction

Ensure electrical scope tied to mechanical systems complies with applicable codes (NEC and local amendments)

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field

4-8 years' experience in electrical design, ideally with exposure to mechanical/HVAC equipment coordination

Working knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, and VFD applications as they relate to mechanical equipment

Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical construction documents

Strong coordination and communication skills for working across mechanical, controls, and electrical trades

Preferred Qualifications

PE license or EIT

Experience with mechanical contractor or design-build project delivery

Familiarity with Revit MEP or similar BIM coordination tools
