Chipton-Ross is seeking an Electrical Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Newport News, VA
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Course work in 3phase power and machines.
- PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, steeled toe shoes, hearing protection, flashlight.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESResearches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)- Experience with 3- Ø power.
- Experience with Naval power and propulsion.
- Experience with power generation and distribution.
REQUIRED EDUCATIONBachelor's Degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
WORK HOURS5/40 workweek. First Shift 7:30AM-4:00 PM
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
