Electrical/Electronic Systems Engineering & Test EngineerOverview / Summary Support engineering program activities through engineering gateways and launch phases, serving as a cross-functional coordinator and point of contact among engineering, program, finance, quality, software, vehicle operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Provide breadboard and hardware engineering support for electrical/electronic test configurations, including development, modification, maintenance, validation, documentation, hardware readiness, and test-setup support for feature testing, software integration, and validation events.
Key Responsibilities - Support engineering program activities through engineering gateways and launch phases.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities among engineering, program, finance, quality, software, vehicle operations, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide breadboard and hardware engineering support for electrical/electronic test configurations.
- Develop, modify, maintain, and validate electrical/electronic test configurations.
- Support hardware readiness and test setup activities for feature testing, software integration, and validation events.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve ECU, hardware, network, software, and feature-test concerns.
- Use VSEM, GPIRS, Teamcenter, DT comparisons, and other applicable engineering tools to investigate technical concerns.
- Evaluate configuration, calibration, signal, communication, and hardware differences across bench, vehicle, and prototype environments.
- Drive cross-functional root-cause analysis and corrective actions for engineering and launch concerns.
- Support prevention of recurrence and repeat/regression-test verification.
- Maintain technical evidence, including logs, measurements, reproduction steps, configurations, wiring records, test procedures, findings, and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications - Experience supporting electrical/electronic engineering test configurations.
- Experience with breadboard and hardware engineering support.
- Experience with feature testing, software integration, and validation activities.
- Experience troubleshooting ECU, hardware, network, software, and feature-test concerns.
- Experience using engineering tools such as VSEM, GPIRS, and Teamcenter.
- Experience evaluating configuration, calibration, signal, communication, and hardware differences across bench, vehicle, and prototype environments.
- Experience with cross-functional root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and regression testing.
- Ability to document technical evidence, including logs, measurements, configurations, wiring records, test procedures, findings, and lessons learned.
