Full Job Description
The EIC Engineer Lead will be part of a team that providesengineering and automation solutions to industrial clients in a professional,client-driven, and responsive manner. This role is responsible for EIC systemdesign and execution, ensuring compliance with current electrical codes andrequirements. Given the dynamic nature of client applications and technologies,the work will be both challenging and fast-paced, often under tight deadlines.Work will take place at the QCA office or at client sites as required.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical execution, quality, and success of each project.
  • Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of personnel assigned to projects.
  • Support project management processes to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to team members for both technical execution and project workflows.
  • Design EIC systems for new (greenfield) and existing industrial applications.
  • Utilize engineering tools and software to validate electrical systems.
  • Develop and modify design drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Prepare technical documentation to support designs, work plans, and completed tasks.
  • Oversee and/or conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) in-office or at client sites, following documented test plans.
  • Perform supervision and commissioning services at client sites as required, which may involve work outside of standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with clients regarding project progress, ensuring alignment with project goals and QCA's best interests.
  • Travel to client sites as required for meetings, inspections, or execution of work.
  • Manage time allocations efficiently and provide feedback to project managers.
  • Provide work effort estimates to management.
  • Submit timesheets and work comments weekly in accordance with management deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligible for registration.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical/controls engineering or industrial applications.
  • Experience with EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Microsoft Office, and industrial machine design.
  • Working knowledge of power distribution systems up to 4160V is an asset.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
  • Experience with industrial electrical and automation systems is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel for work as needed.
