Position Summary

The Regional EH&S Manager will develop and implement programs to deliver high performance Environmental, Health and Safety solutions for the Client account. This position will provide guidance and support to account senior leaders, operations managers, program managers , and personnel across multiple facilities within their assigned region while leading a team of EH&S professionals to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

The Regional EH&S Manager must understand regulatory requirements along with Key Performance Indicators related to customer expectations in this area. The objective is to empower employees at each site in a manner that protects all personnel and property while avoiding loss, building public trust and providing business continuity. Candidate must be available to travel up to 60% of the time and respond to critical matters after hours.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Implementation • Develop and implement comprehensive EH&S programs and initiatives that comply with regulatory requirements and promote employee participation and accountability • Assist site leaders in identifying, eliminating, and controlling hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using safety standards, best management practices,

and analytical techniques • Complete site audits and manage improvement plans and benchmark outstanding programs • Ensure that appropriate site and business specific programs are implemented, documented and standardized to effectively and efficiently meet KPI's and legal requirements while complying with regulatory, client and company requirements

Communication & Leadership • Clearly communicate with client directors and JLL leadership on EH&S matters and performance metrics • Provide oversight and alignment on specific topics applicable to account employees across multiple facilities • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels to achieve safety objectives

Training & Compliance • Develop and conduct training programs in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies • Ensure proper documentation of all training activities and maintain accurate training records • Stay current on regulatory changes and communicate updates to relevant personnel • Deliver instructor-led safety training effectively across multiple sites

Data Management & Reporting • Ensure that EH&S accidents, injuries, near misses/good catches, and other events are captured in corporate systems and the data is analyzed, managed and reported • Collect data, provide information and reports as needed to support the Client's compliance programs • Monitor recordkeeping and reporting performance for Risk related requirements and objectives • Utilize data analytics to identify trends and develop proactive safety strategies

Audits & Investigations • Conduct and lead EH&S audits across sites to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities • Participate in incident investigation, root-cause analysis, recordkeeping, and follow-up activities • Make recommendations for prevention based on results of investigations and audit findings • Track and monitor corrective action implementation to ensure effective resolution

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with EHS compliance and management systems preferably within facility operations; EHS experience in distribution, warehousing or maintenance operations is highly desirable • Minimum 3 years of experience in Risk or related field as it relates to facility management • College degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

Technical Knowledge & Skills • College degree in related field required.
• Knowledge of safety requirements, fundamentals of safety education, industrial safety, risk management, and the application of data automation to the safety function highly desired.
• Advanced certifications (e.g., CRSP, ASP, CSP) preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements that apply to facilities management ( WHMIS, Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations (ON/BC/AB), OSHA, EPA, NFPA, etc.)
• Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office programs and Outlook
• Advanced MS Excel experience preferred, including creating visual representation of data and understanding of basic data functions
• Experience in using AI to analyze safety data and trends and develop strategic objectives to prevent incidents based on perceived trends

Physical Requirements
• Ability to travel extensively to multiple facility locations
• Able to stand and walk for long periods of time to support site inspections and audits in industrial environments
• Availability for emergency response situations outside of normal business hours

Estimated compensation for this position:

90,000.00 - 90,000.00 CAD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
