EHS Engineer / Industrial Hygienist (E3)

We are seeking a highly motivated EHS / Industrial Hygienist professional to join the Global Centers of Excellence (COE) team, supporting Industrial Hygiene (IH), Safety and Occupational Health programs. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for leading complex EHS programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving scalable, data-driven solutions across global sites. This position will be based in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key global industrial hygiene programs, including respiratory protection, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, medical surveillance, noise control, arsenic, indoor air quality, laser safety, and exposure assessment.
  • Support industrial hygiene programs, including exposure assessments, hazard evaluations, and implementation of engineering and administrative controls, while supporting Management of Change (MOC) and new process/equipment risk reviews.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable regulations and corporate EHS standards while owning and continuously improving key EHS programs.
  • Lead and enhance occupational health programs, including injury/illness case management, workers' compensation process improvements, and global health services alignment; drive optimization of medical surveillance programs (e.g., respirator clearance, audiometry, and other regulatory health monitoring) to ensure compliance, consistency, and employee wellbeing.
  • Drive adoption and effective utilization of EHS management systems and digital tools to enable compliance tracking, data integrity, performance insights, and global system standardization.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert by providing advanced IH and EHS guidance, leading incident investigations, and supporting high-risk assessments, engineering design reviews, and corrective action strategies.
  • Support audits and inspections, analyze performance trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure sustained compliance and effective risk reduction.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response programs while demonstrating leadership in incident response and reinforcing a strong safety culture.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and global EHS teams to drive program alignment, standardization, and implementation of best practices across sites.
  • Develop organizational capability by delivering technical training, mentoring team members, and promoting proactive employee engagement in safety programs.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA PEL, CAL OSHA, ACGIH TLV and BEI, NIOSH, SEMI S2, ANSI standards and guidelines, and other local regulations. Knowledgeable in understanding EHS standards and policies.
  • Act as a liaison with local, regional, or federal regulatory authorities. Ensures compliance with required codes, standards, and regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant EHS / IH experience (semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
