Position Summary

  • EE Commissioning Lead Engineer is responsible for software updating, configuration management, verification and software readiness VinFast engineering and test vehicles.
  • This position supports CTF, vehicle validation, quality investigation, ADAS, InR and other engineering activities by ensuring that test vehicles are maintained required software baseline and configuration before testing.
  • Role requires hands-on work with vehicles, engineering diagnostic tools, software flashing/update systems, vehicle networks and internal engineering processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Performsoftware updates, flashing, reprogramming and configuration VinFastengineering and test vehicles
  • Updatevehicle ECUs/ECMs and other electronic control modules using approvedVinFast engineering and diagnostic tools
  • Performvehicle OTA and workshop-based software updates according engineeringrequirements
  • Preparevehicles with required software baseline before CTF, validation, ADAS andengineering testing
  • Verifysoftware versions and vehicle configuration before and after softwareupdates
  • Confirmsuccessful installation and correct operation updated software
  • Performpost-update vehicle health checks and basic functional verification
  • Identifyand troubleshoot software update failures, communication errors, ECUprogramming issues and configuration mismatches
  • Performbasic diagnostics using DTCs, ECU status, logs and vehicle networkinformation
  • Collectlogs and technical information when software installation or vehiclefunctionality issues occur
  • Escalatesoftware-related issues to appropriate engineering teams with cleartechnical information and supporting evidence
  • Maintainaccurate records of vehicle software versions, update history,configuration, update status and identified issues
  • Tracksoftware readiness of the engineering/test fleet and provide regularstatus updates to CTF management and engineering teams
  • Coordinatesoftware update activities with CTF, ADAS, InR, R&D, and otherengineering teams
  • Followapproved software release, configuration management and vehicle updateprocedures
  • Ensurethat only approved software packages and configurations are installed onengineering vehicles
  • Supporturgent software updates and vehicle preparation for critical engineeringtests when required
  • Maintainsoftware update equipment, diagnostic devices, laptops, interfaces,cables, adapters and related engineering tools
  • Supportdevelopment and continuous improvement of vehicle software updateprocedures and documentation
  • Ensurecompliance with safety requirements when working with electric vehiclesand vehicle electrical/electronic systems


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering,Electronics, Computer Engineering or related technical field; equivalentrelevant automotive experience may be considered
  • Hands-onexperience with automotive diagnostics, ECU programming, vehicle softwareupdates or vehicle electrical/electronic systems
  • Understandingmodern vehicle electronic architecture and ECU-based systems
  • Basicknowledge automotive communication networks such as CAN etc
  • Experienceusing automotive diagnostic or engineering tools
  • Abilityto read and understand DTCs, diagnostic reports, ECU information andsoftware version data
  • Strongcomputer skills and ability to work with engineering software andWindows/Linux-based diagnostic applications
  • Abilityto follow technical procedures accurately and maintain detailed records
  • Strongtroubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Abilityto work independently and manage software updates across multiple vehicles
  • Goodwritten and verbal communication skills in English
  • ValidU.S. driver's license and ability to safely operate test vehicles
  • Readinessfor business trips

Preferred qualification

  • Experienceworking with electric vehicles (EV)
  • Experiencewith automotive OEM, R&D, vehicle validation, test fleet, prototypefleet or engineering workshop operations
  • Experiencewith ECU flashing/programming and vehicle configuration management
  • Knowledgeof CAN, CAN FD or similar automotive communication protocols
  • Experiencewith vehicle diagnostic and data-logging tools
  • Experiencewith OTA software update processes
  • Understandingsoftware release management and vehicle software baselines
  • Experiencewith Jira or similar issue-tracking systems
  • High-voltageEV safety training or certification is preferred
