Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Reporting to the IT Director, the Manager of eDiscovery will bring creativity and strategy to manage projects involving discovery and fact development including, but not limited to, document collection, review, production, deposition, motion and trial support with an emphasis on issues associated with electronically stored information. The position requires the highest level of technological acumen and an expert-level ability with major industry tools and processes. This position establishes the Firm's standards and best practices for electronic discovery, including process and workflow for document analysis for responsiveness, privilege and confidentiality designations. The eDiscovery Manager will review and implement policies and procedures, track compliance, serve as a billable resource and secure data.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist case teams with various technical issues, specifically data conversion and importing/exporting production data sets or load files.
  • Review platform usage and archive/de-archive projects as needed.
  • Create document production deliverables by generating custom metadata load files, native files, text files and images in conformance with project specifications. Ensure appropriate OCR, text and image redaction steps are complete.
  • Assist with strategizing and implementing major case organization and early case assessment strategy.
  • Create, track and report on cost estimates and case budget.
  • Design and implement document collection, review, production and privilege logging plan.
  • Administer eDiscovery/document review platforms.
  • Partner with litigation team to implement appropriate document review and production methodology including providing advice on appropriate production formats, ESI collection, document review strategy.
  • Coordinate management of review documents, including incoming/outgoing productions and organization of related work product.
  • Assist in developing, documenting, and refining necessary procedures to accomplish improved process requirements; advise on technical aspects of existing protocols and identify areas of potential improvement.
  • Stay current on the rapidly changing technology developments relating to litigation support and eDiscovery.
  • Ensure requirements and met for all phases of eDiscovery projects including preservation, collection, processing, hosting, production, and presentation.
  • Perform litigation support duties as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree
    • Paralegal certificate
  • Experience
    • 5+ years' experience as a paralegal and eDiscovery professional
    • Experience with eDiscovery processing and production applications and workflows
    • Certifications in Relativity ideal
    • Strong technical project management skills, including experience with Excel, project management tools, as well as Relativity and other eDiscovery software
    • Remote technical support of trials is a plus
