Full Job Description
Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly skilled and Qualified ECS instructor site lead to spearhead our training operations. We are looking for a dedicated leader who can balance high-level administrative management with the technical expertise required for expeditionary combat training. The successful candidate will ensure all training evolutions are conducted with precision, safety, and full compliance with Department of Defense standards.

Required Qualifications
  • Must meet all qualifications and experience requirements of an ECS Weapons-based Instructor I (JET), ECS Weapons-based Instructor II (High Risk), or ECS Medical Support TCCC Instructor as applicable.
  • Minimum 2 years documented tactical military operational experience encompassing: Basic Tactical Communications, Convoy Operations, Small Arms, Tactical Shooting, C-IED, Mission Planning, Basic Tactical Movement, Basic CBRNE Procedures, and Tactical Decision Making (Shoot/Don't Shoot).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an instructor delivering formal training.
  • Completed or military/academic equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience supervising a team of 20+ personnel.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (hard requirement per DoD Manual 5200.02).
  • Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated NACLC background investigation and CAC.
  • Valid driver's license; CDL certification or eligibility preferred.
  • Ability to pass medical screening per OPNAVINST 1500.75 and psychological screening per NETCINST 1500.13.
  • Must meet physical fitness standards sufficient to perform all training evolutions.
  • Must be able to achieve and maintain Sharpshooter qualification on assigned weapons (if weapons-based).
  • Current Basic First Aid certification (AHA, ARC, or NSC - no CBT-only).
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or NSC - no CBT-only).
  • Must comply with Lautenberg Amendment requirements.
  • Prior experience as site lead, detachment NCOIC, or equivalent management role on a DoD training contract.
  • Familiarity with or equivalent expeditionary combat training program.
  • Experience with WAWF invoicing system.
  • Prior experience managing contract deliverables including MSR, QAP, and CDRL compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Government Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), ECS Training Officer, and Technical Assistant (TA).
  • Provide administrative management and supervision of all 57 contract instructors at the Gulfport learning site.
  • Report to the Course Supervisor for daily administrative delivery of the course of instruction.
  • Designate an Alternate Site Lead and provide contact information to OIC, COR, and ECS Training Officer/TA within 15 days of contract award; notify of any changes within 1 working day
  • Submit Mobilization Weekly Status Reports to the Detachment Training Officer and COR.
  • Submit Monthly Status Reports (MSR) no later than the 5th of each month.
  • Submit Quarterly Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) updates by the 25th day of each quarter.
  • Coordinate and implement the contractor mobilization plan; ensure all personnel, ITJs, and certifications are in place at the start.
  • Maintain and ensure currency of all instructor qualifications, certifications, and training records.
  • Implement and enforce the contractor Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) to monitor instructor performance.
  • Manage instructor replacement plans within 72 hours of departure; ensure replacement on deck within 10 working days; maintain
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training per CENSECFORNOTE 1500.Enforce drug-free policies, including the 12-hour pre-duty alcohol prohibition.
  • Coordinate Emergency Action Plan (EAP) reviews, walk-throughs, and semi-annual exercises.
  • Report all mishaps to OIC, ECS Training Officer, COR, and PCO within 1 hour of occurrence. Conduct all instructor duties assigned within qualified phase(s) in addition to site lead responsibilities.
  • Obtain and return all Government-issued identification (CAC cards) upon termination of instructor employment.
