Job Description
You will be an ambassador in our organization and lead initiatives to increase the value of our products in the most cost-effective way. You will leverage the most up to date tools & data to drive Affordability on program, creating value for our customer.
This position is responsible for performing Affordability Analysis to support Life Cycle Cost (LCC), Design- to-Cost (DTC), Cost as an Independent Variable (CAIV) and Cost Reduction Initiatives (CRI). Analytical tools/approaches which will leverage Commercial/Gov't parametric models, such as TruePlanning and SEER, as well as custom developed parametrics models used to determine correlation between operational or technical requirements and cost.
The person filling this position will be adept at consolidating and presenting financial key performance indicators; earned value management; summary technical and financial progress/projections toward performance goals; and project schedule development and maintenance.
You will proactively identify issues, concerns, or challenges. Facilitate tradeoff decisions and remove obstacles, bringing issues up to key leadership when necessary.

Basic Qualifications
-Active Secret Clearance required
-Experienced working with teams of diverse backgrounds including Program Management, Engineering and Technology, Finance, Global Supply Chain, Production Operations, and Quality.
-Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Finance or an analytical field.
-Must be an excellent communicator, skilled in data visualization, with experience presenting to executive leadership and external customers.
-Experience with multiyear and multiple year procurements.
-Working in environments that have multiple, high priorities, and advocating effectively for your area of responsibility.
-Experience developing and analyzing large bills of material.
-Organized & detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Excel & Data Analytics.
-Strong fundamental engineering knowledge and/or financial acumen.
-Experience leading Affordability/Design-to-Cost efforts to enable the plan to meet program cost targets.
-Experience leading the development of CRIs to build step down plans to achieve target costs.
Desired skills
-Previous experience as an Affordability Program Lead, Cost Engineer, Design-to-Cost Specialist.
-Experienced coaching, mentoring, and growing Affordability Staff.
-Experience developing & advocating for Design-to-Cost Policy.
-Experience with Capture, Position to Win, Affordability Planning, Government Contracting, Team Facilitation, Training, Coaching, Group Prioritization Techniques, Cost Target Allocation, and engaging with suppliers.
-Experience in developing Step-Down plans, utilizing Design for Manufacturing tools (e.g. DFMA, DFMPro, SEER, etc.), Value Engineering / Producibility Analysis, Quality Function Deployment, CAIV Analysis, and Plan tailoring,
-Capable of performing O&S Cost, Similar-to, Pre-Design Performance, Sensitivity, Cost Capability, Producibility, Pareto, Architecture cost-driver, cost benefit, and / or Learning Curve Analyses.
-Manufacturing materials & processes familiarity.
-Familiarity with Cost modeling & Design-to-Cost tools, Value Engineering / Producibility Analysis, and Business Transformation / Change activities.
-Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Certification.
-Experience with business transformation and/or change management.
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
