As an Electrical Foreman, you are responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and overseeing workflow within your assigned project crew while managing the day-to-day operations of the job site. This is a working leadership role in addition to your supervisory responsibilities, you may actively perform the duties of a licensed Journeyman Electrician-handling everything from initial layout to final execution alongside your team.
What You'll Do - Coordinate & Schedule Workflow: Manage the daily operations of the job site, ensuring materials, tools, and tasks are lined up so your crew can work efficiently and hit project milestones.
- Lead & Execute on the Tools: Perform the hands-on duties of a licensed Journeyman Electrician, including the layout, installation, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Champion Safety: Conduct daily Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) and Toolbox Talks. Ensure rigorous compliance with OH&S regulations and Company safety policies, including strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) oversight.
- Mentor the Crew: Supervise and mentor a field crew of Journeymen and Apprentices, optimizing daily work assignments based on project schedules and individual strengths.
- Manage Field Documentation: Track daily progress, approve crew timesheets, manage on-site material inventories, and interface directly with clients and Project Managers to handle RFIs or scope changes.
What You Bring to the Team- Valid Journeyman Electrician Ticket / Interprovincial Red Seal Certification.
- 5+ years of industrial or heavy commercial electrical experience, with at least 1-3 years in a Lead Hand, Supervisory, or Foreman capacity where you balanced layout and field execution with leadership.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical systems, control wiring, motor control centers (MCCs), and troubleshooting complex equipment under tight timelines.
- Active safety tickets (Standard First Aid, Fall Protection, and Aerial Work Platform).
- A valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Comfort working out-of-town in variable weather conditions, managing the physical demands of industrial construction sites, and sustaining high focus over a 14-day shift.
