Full Job Description
The Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Administrator is responsible for the ongoing administration, governance, security, and operational support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments. This role ensures platform stability, security compliance, and continuity of service by managing environments, access controls, data loss prevention policies, and acting as the primary escalation point for platform-related issues.

This position focuses on administration, governance, and support-not solution development or major customizations.

Tenant Governance
  • Deploy and maintain standardized baselines for Power Platform using the Power Platform Admin Center
  • Manage multiple Power Platform environments (e.g., Sandbox, Production), including naming conventions, descriptions, environment types, and access/security policies
  • Assign and maintain user roles (Environment Admin, System Admin, Basic User, etc.)
  • Review, configure, and maintain tenant-level Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
  • Provide guidance on environment lifecycle strategy (Dev/Test/Prod segregation)
  • Ensure alignment with customer identity, access, and compliance requirements
  • Perform Dataverse updates to support platform continuity and leverage new capabilities
  • Support solution deployment, ALM (Application Lifecycle Management), and minor configuration changes

Access & Security Management
  • Manage and maintain security roles and permissions across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform environments
  • Coordinate with customer IT teams on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) group-based access control
  • Enforce least-privilege access best practices for makers and users
  • Review and report on permission assignments and privileged access
  • Assist with security role customization and field-level security configuration

Platform Health & Incident Management
  • Monitor Power Platform and Dynamics 365 environment health, performance, and compliance
  • Enforce and review Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
  • Track usage of premium connectors and third-party integrations
  • Identify unmanaged or orphaned apps, flows, and components
  • Act as the primary point of contact for platform-level issues
  • Escalate platform-level incidents and coordinate with Microsoft Support when required
  • Monitor platform capacity and usage, providing reports and recommendations as needed

Solution-Level Support
  • Provide troubleshooting support for existing Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Dynamics 365 configurations
  • Perform basic issue resolution to ensure business continuity
  • Support operational fixes and minor configuration changes within approved scope

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience administering Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform environments, security roles, and governance models
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), role-based access control, and least-privilege security principles
  • Familiarity with Dataverse, Power Platform Admin Center, and DLP policies
  • Experience coordinating escalations with Microsoft Support
  • Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills
