Overview

As Divisional Vice President of Stores East, you will be one of two divisional store leaders. You will help shape the future of our store network and bring the needs of local markets into co-op plans. You will lead through change with care, clear goals, and shared trust. This remote role requires you to live within the market and travel as needed.

  • Set the strategy for stores in the eastern division and link regional plans to REI Co-op goals.
  • Lead results across sales, membership, profit, service, operations, and employee engagement.
  • Guide and grow regional leaders. Build teams where people feel respected, supported, and able to do their best work.
  • Use data, local insight, and employee feedback to spot needs, set priorities, and improve store results.
  • Partner with leaders across real estate, finance, marketing, digital, product, and store operations on growth and change.
  • Help stores reflect and serve their local communities while reducing barriers to time outside.


Qualifications
  • Seven or more years of regional leadership experience, or an equal mix of training and work experience.
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience leading a large, multi-region store network and teams through major change.
  • Skill in setting a clear vision, building plans, managing budgets, and meeting business goals.
  • A record of building trust, coaching leaders, and working across teams to make sound decisions.
  • Ability to travel as needed and work from a home base within the eastern market.
