Developer

Our tight-knit Development team builds and maintains a large private website, which helps more than 1,500 clients on a daily basis. It is built primarily using Microsoft technologies, including .NET and SQL Server. We also have a public-facing site and mobile versions of our tools. Our development approach has always been "agile" and we recently revamped our team structure based on scrum.

As a developer, your responsibilities would include:
  • Joining a 6-7 person agile team responsible for developing several of our most visible and critical web applications, including a public-facing site; these products are at the heart of what we offer our advisors and their clients and we are always adding new features to them
  • Coding complex web applications using C#/VB.NET, Knockout, JQuery, and other Javascript frameworks
  • Writing both front-end and back-end code, including web services, MVC, or Web API
  • Having an opinion on how to make things better/faster/more efficient

The ideal candidate for this position should meet the following requirements:
  • 5-10+ years' programming experience in ASP.NET (C# or VB.NET)
  • Knowledge of Knockout/JavaScript/jQuery or related technologies
  • Some knowledge of SQL/relational databases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile/scrum environment
  • A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • An Agile mindset and a desire to produce great software
