About the role:

Intelliguard has an excellent opportunity for a .NET Architect to join our team in Columbus, Ohioreporting to Head of Software Development. As a .NET Architect, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, evolving, and scaling the Mira Ecosystem™ enterprise pharmaceutical supply chain and medication management system servicing healthcare institutions across North America. In this role, you will shape the architecture of mission-critical systems that track medication inventory in real-time using RFID technology, integrate with hospital Electronic Health Records via HL7 standards, and ensure regulatory compliance for controlled substances. You will work across our full product suite including Mira Care (RFID Medication Workstation & Inventory Cabinet), Mira Prep (RFID Kit & Tray Management) and Mira Intelligence (Pharmacy Business Analytics) solutions. As the architect, you will balance the demands of a complex distributed system spanning cloud infrastructure, on-premises hardware enclosures, and real-time messaging while maintaining the reliability and security standards required in healthcare environments.

You will collaborate closely with the product team, software engineers, QA, DevSecOps, data teams, and hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between physical devices and enterprise software. In addition, you will be instrumental in shaping Intelliguard's adoption of AI-assisted development tools.

What You'll Be Doing:
• Architecting real-time inventory tracking systems that communicate with RFID hardware enclosures and IoT devices
• Defining and evolving the technical architecture across our .NET backend services, Angular and React frontend

applications, and SQL Server data layer
• Designing scalable, event-driven solutions using NServiceBus, Kafka and AWS services (SQS, S3, DynamoDB)
• Establishing patterns for healthcare interoperability including HL7 messaging and EHR integrations
• Lead the technical vision for projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into

technical specifications.
• Mentor software engineering, QA and DevSecOps teams on best practices
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies that improve system performance, developer productivity (AI-coding tools),

and operational reliability
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

We Would Love To Hear From You, If:

Required
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required; a master's degree in

technical or business discipline is preferred.
• 10+ years of software development experience with at least 5 years in an architecture or technical leadership role
• Deep experience in .NET/C# and experience in modern .NET 8, ASP.NET Core and WPF
• Designed and operated distributed systems with message-driven architectures (NServiceBus, Kafka or similar)
• Strong SQL Server experience including performance tuning, temporal tables, and change data capture
• Experience architecting cloud-native solutions
• Ability to Communicate complex technical concepts to both engineering and business stateholders
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Ability to mentor developers, foster collaboration, and drive technical excellence within a team
• Experience with Agile methodologies and participation in Scrum ceremonies

Preferred
• Experience integrating custom hardware and software solutions
• Experience with RFID
Integrating healthcare systems using HL7 standards
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as HIPAA and PIPEDA

  • Hybrid role in Columbus, OH (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
