Full Job Description
This position reports to:
USLATAM Region Managing Director

Your role and responsibilities:

As the District Sales Manager for South Texas, you will manage a district sales team responsible for distributor, contractor, OEM, named account, and industrial sales groups. You will ensure the team meets volume growth, price quality/margin, cost, and customer satisfaction objectives through excellent customer relations and increasing market share.

While this is a remote position, successful candidates will be located in the South Texas trade area.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Lead district performance and talent development by conducting annual performance reviews, creating employee development plans, and driving technical and professional training initiatives.
  • Manage and optimize sales performance through balanced scorecard tracking, share growth initiatives, monthly distributor reviews, and coaching sales teams on strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Overseechannel partner and distributor management by reviewing business plans, evaluating partner performance, enforcing ABB distributor policies, and serving as the final authority on commercial decisions.
  • Drive strategic account growth and customer relationships by managing top local accounts, strengthening engagement with key named accounts, and executing account penetration strategies in partnership with account managers.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Marketing, or STEM.
  • Industrial Product Sales Experience: Minimum of 8 years selling into electrical or heavy industrial markets with a focus on distribution is a must.
  • Account Management: Senior Account Management experience within industry is a must.
  • Cross-Functional Experience: Experience in roles such as product management / marketing, custom manufacturing solutions center (CMSC), supply chain, operations, engineering, or program management.
  • Revenue Management: Sales experience of a $15M+ business.
